Production!

Well done to everyone for all of your hard work in the production. You all worked super hard and did a fabulous job. You also learnt a lot and had lots of fun along the way!

Statistics!

We have been learning to sort, group and display data using tally charts, pictograms and bar graphs. We have also been learning how to make statements about our data.

Here we are sorting pictures of our cats into different groups to try and find the answer to some questions.

Here are some of the questions we investigated:

  • What sort of tails do our cats have?
  • What sort of whiskers do our cats have?
  • What size cats do we have?
  • What colour are our cats?

Here are some photos of us sorting our pictures into different groups...

What did we find out?

We found out that some cats have curly tails, some cats have short tails and some have long skinny tails.

More cats have curly tails than straight tails.

Less cats have short whiskers than long whiskers.

Some cats have have big round bodies and others have skinny bodies.

What else did we find? Come into Room 2 and have a look at our graphs and see if you can make any more statements!

More Get, Set, Go!

We have been learning to throw and catch objects with confidence. When we are catching an object we have to remember to:

1) keep our eye on the object
2) move towards the object
3) make sure we have our hands ready

Have a look at how we are doing all three of these things while we are catching...
